PAUL GINSBERG  (1-1/2 CEU)
How to Make Audio Recordings that can be used for Evidence
PRO AUDIO LABS- NATIONAL KNOWN AUDIO FORENSIC EXPERT

Do You Know…

Who the Central Intelligence Agency called to evaluate its sound processing system?

Who the Federal Bureau of Investigation called to locate and download conversations from a foreign government’s multi-channel tape?

Who was retained by the Department of Justice to enhance and transcribe the F.B.I. bug tapes at Waco, and to render expert testimony at trial for their admission?

Who was the sole electronics expert to testify at U.S. v. Rahman, (world Trade II terrorist trial), called twice by both Government and defense?

Who designed and constructed a system to detect and download hundreds of telephone calls to selected telephone numbers from a U.S. Dept. of Prisons 40-channel tape….in two weeks?

Super conference 2010 is pleased to present widely acclaimed forensic surveillance and recording expert, PAUL GINSBERG, to share his experience working with the C.I.A., F.B.I., D.E.A., Customs, Homeland Security, I.R.S., A.T.F., S.E.C., and virtually all other Federal law enforcement agencies.

PAUL GINSBERG will teach us how to properly make recordings that are the most intelligible, and which maintain their evidentiary value. He will explain how to avoid common errors that can render recordings inaudible and unusable, as well as inadmissible.

Paul is a frequent guest on CNN, FOX, as well as national network shows. He is called upon to analyze and digitally enhance recordings of presidents, terrorists, drug dealers, billionaire business meetings, as well as routine everyday marital and custody recordings.

Recently, Paul was a guest on NBC’s “The Today Show”, CNN’s “Larry King Live”, and HLN’s “The Joy Behar Show”, discussing the recent Mel Gibson recordings. In past appearances Paul has discussed Osama Bin Laden tapes, and how the C.I. A. analyzes them, the Nixon Watergate erased tape, the Kennedy assassination recording.

You will hear all about how he was drafted into the forensic audio business by the U.S. Justice Department, how we smuggled a hidden recorder into C.I.A. headquarters and recorded his polygraph examination, and many other war stories from his 1,700 cases spanning 35 years and 30 Federal districts.

“I have a great respect for private investigators. Your job is uncovering the truth, like one of my personal heroes, Sherlock Holmes. I want you to benefit from my years of counseling special agents and law enforcement in the area of recorded evidence so that your recordings are crisp and clear, and admissible at trial.” Paul Ginsberg, President, Professional Audio Laboratories, Inc.

SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER AT OUR DINNER:
JIM BROWN
Former State Senator, Louisiana Secretary of State and Insurance Commissioner.  He is currently a political commentator and, author of the Book JUSTICE DENIED

Jim Brown was perhaps the most successful insurance commissioner that Louisiana had ever had.  As a former State Senator, and later Secretary of State, armed with a degree in law, Jim Brown promised Louisiana voters that he would clean up the department of insurance when he was elected.  And he did just that. Under his direction, the Louisiana Department of Insurance obtained accreditation from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.  He ordered insurance examiners to audit every insurance company doing business in Louisiana and shut down a lot of companies that didn't meet the high standards that were new to Louisiana.  When Hurricane Andrew hit, he dispatched insurance department personnel to assist victims with their claims and then created an insurance fraud unit.  For once, Louisiana was first in something positive.  Then the FBI started wiretapping former Governor Edwin Edwards...

Soon, it was alleged that Jim Brown was conspiring with Edwin Edwards and others to offer a sweetheart deal to a failed insurance agency.  The Feds charged him with 56 counts of wrong doing and in the end a jury convicted him of one charge.  Lying to an FBI Agent about a crime that a jury said didn't happen.  How is that possible?

The story behind that is explosive, controversial and is the subject of his book, Justice Denied.  Even while this was happening, Jim Brown was re-elected with a 57% majority vote of the voters.  But in the end, Jim Brown paid a $50,000.00 fine, lost his law license and served 6 months in a Federal prison.  In 2008, the Louisiana Supreme Court re-instated his law license.  Today, he is a political commentator, and a much sought after guest speaker.

We invited Jim Brown to be our guest speaker at our Seminar because we wanted something fresh...different and something that will make you think.  We told him that he could choose his subject, but we expect to hear about the political issues of present day, laced with Brown's point of view from his life experiences.

His speech is at our Banquet dinner and will not be included in the CEU certificates, but we believe that his speech will be fascinating to our investigators and provide you great insight on how the system can fail you.
